What software to use for Video Editing will depend on the version of the software you are trying to use. For example, Adobe Premiere Pro is often used with Adobe After Effects to create high-quality videos, but there is much software that can be used alone or with other software. Here is a list of software for Video Editing.
Adobe Premiere Pro:
One of the most popular software for video editing also comes by default with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. It works well with Adobe After Effects which is another program designed for video editing. By using these two programs together, it gives users access to over 20 new visual effects that they can play around with. It does cost $699 per year as a subscription but offers many benefits such as 100 new video effects and the ability to make HD videos.
Sony Vegas Pro:
Another of the most popular software for video editing costs $549 per year as a subscription and works fine by itself. It also comes with Adobe Photoshop which is one of the best software for image editing. The best feature about Sony Vegas Pro is that it can work on multiple platforms including Windows 8 and Mac OS X 10.8.
Software used especially in post-production, it enables users to have full control over their images, videos and audio files before they are published or uploaded to a social website such as Youtube or Vimeo. This software is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X.
Movie Maker 2 :
Software that comes free with Windows Vista/7 so it’s often overlooked among more professional software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas Pro which both cost hundreds of dollars to purchase the entire package. Although this software has no options to add transitions while video editing, it still has many benefits such as drag-and-drop features which makes the Video Editing process much easier since you don’t need any prior video editing knowledge.
Avid Media Composer:
In my opinion, this software is probably the best software out of all the software on this list if you’re willing to pay $30 per year. It has a lot of features and works great whether you want to edit videos or photos together and add them to your videos. Just like Adobe After Effects, it also works well with other software such as Avid Pro Tools which costs $240 for 1 month so it can be used in music production. The only downside about using both software at once is that they cost about $360 for just 1 month’s subscription so unless you know how to work around this problem, it isn’t advised since there is software that cost less than $60 for 1 year so you can use it indefinitely without having to pay extra money for software, just the original program costs.
This software is mainly used for editing feature films but can also be used on TV shows or documentaries. It costs $11 per month and supports Linux, Apple, Microsoft operating systems.
Software that comes with drag-and-drop features, users can edit videos together in just minutes by using their photos and video files without any prior Video Editing knowledge. You can even add music into your video before exporting it to YouTube or Vimeo which makes the process a lot easier since usually, the software requires users to have a lot of video editing knowledge to be able to export the videos properly. The only downside about using software like this is that they usually come with watermarks but this software doesn’t so it’s perfect for beginners who are just starting out in Video Editing.
This software is best known for 3D modelling and rendering, you can also use it to edit videos with different effects added to the background such as rain or snow. It’s free and works on most operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
Another software that costs less than $60 for a lifetime subscription so it can be used indefinitely without having to pay extra money every month as adobe software do. Just like EZVid, you can simply drag and drop your photos and videos into the software and add text into them if you wish before exporting them to another website such as YouTube or Vimeo. The only downside about this software is that it doesn’t come with any special features like transitions or colour contrast for the video clips.
Adobe After Effects:
This software is mainly used for adding effects onto photos and videos, it also allows users to animate different layers together which makes the Video Editing process much easier. Just like other software on this list, you can add your photos and videos to this software before adding titles onto them if you wish to do so. Once you’re done adding all of that, you can then export the video to another website such as YouTube or Vimeo and in my opinion, Adobe After Effects works best when combined with other software such as Avid Media Composer software even though they cost $360 per month when combined but in total, it only costs $400 if you take the discount off so it’s not too expensive.
A platform where you can create your own videos, upload them and share them to others without having to pay any money, unlike YouTube which costs $8 per month to be able to do the same thing. The requirement is that you need a fast internet connection since software like Adobe After Effects are only compatible with Mac OS X or Windows operating systems due to their high RAM usage which requires around 24GB of RAM memory installed on the computer before being able to use software like this effectively. Without an adequate amount of RAM, software like EZVid or Windows Movie Maker might be better alternatives to use since they don’t require as much RAM memory.
Softwares can help you create any type of video if you have the right software to use, in total, it would cost less than $600 so it isn’t too expensive even though software like Adobe After Effects cost $360 per month when combined. Softwares require a lot of RAM memory to run effectively due to their high RAM usage but if your computer already has 24GB of RAM installed on them then the software won’t be much of a problem for you to use.
